Peru this Week, an English-language source of news and information about Peru, is looking for a full-time reporter and features writer.  This person would cover business, travel, food, culture and sports, as well as breaking news on an as-needed basis.
 

The ideal candidate would:

-Be bilingual in English and Spanish (native-level English is a must)

-Have at least one year of writing and/or editing experience in English

-Have experience writing to AP Style standards and working under tight deadlines

-Be able to seek out and pitch story ideas, and have a good ability to judge news-worthiness

-Work well both in a team setting and individually

-Be flexible, as we are a small team that may occasionally need help in other areas

-Be willing to live in Lima, Peru

-Be able to commit to one year

We would prefer someone who has:

-Spent time in or has some familiarity with Peru

-Multimedia reporting skills

-Knowledge of or a willingness to learn basic HTML
