The Dallas Morning News is seeking a full-time production desk editor who can design pages, write headlines and copy-edit stories. We’re looking for someone who has strong design skills and solid news judgment, can write excellent headlines and cutlines, knows grammar and usage well and can spot and fix holes in stories. Web production skills are a plus. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives under deadline pressure and likes a collaborative work environment. Hours vary, but all involve night shifts, weekends and holidays. Candidates should have daily newspaper experience. 



Bachelor’s degree 


Three years of copy editing or design experience at a daily newspaper


Good organizational  and goal setting skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to operate computer based programs
