Description:

The Wilmington, N.C.,  StarNews seeks an experienced reporter to cover state government and politics from a coastal point of view for print and digital publication. Based in Raleigh, the reporter focuses on the work of legislators from local counties and state government’s impact on people in our area. This person must have the skills and experience to become an expert, objective political voice and work independently to dig up stories aimed squarely at our readers - not follow the capital news of the day. The position requires strong self-motivation and self-discipline.  A minimum five years of news reporting experience preferred.
