Description: Student Publications. Provides professional/technical advice and counseling to students concerning the development and production of Student Media. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, preferably in the field of journalism; five years of practical journalism work experience which includes at least two years that is managerially oriented; demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with employees and clients possessing widely varied backgrounds, specifically news, editorial, advertising, retail business and printing; demonstrated positive interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image; ability to perform the essential functions and requirements of the job. Desired qualifications include a demonstrated ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with students, faculty, visitors, fellow work associates, and the general public; demonstrated ability to develop empathetic rapport with students engaged in the development and production of Student Publications. Wage: commensurate with qualifications. Hours: Primarily Mon-Fri (8-5); evening/weekends as necessary. Screening begins immediately and continues until filled.
