Do you have what it takes to make a major impact on our news coverage? The Daily Citizen is seeking a top-notch reporter who is not afraid to shake things up, ask tough questions, and get down to the bottom of a story. This person must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, a insatiable sense of curiosity, a positive attitude and high character. This person must become a part of the community, accept coaching well, come up with his or her own story ideas, and always have a desire to improve. This person must also be a team player who takes pride in the craft, and is obsessed with putting out a great news product. Photography skills and Photoshop experience is required. This is a perfect opportunity for a seasoned veteran, or a reporter with a few years experience who is ready to take the next step toward greatness in his or her career.

The Daily Citizen is an award-winning 5,600-circulation daily newspaper situated in a friendly, growing community of 25,000 residents who take their news seriously. Searcy is located 45 minutes north of Little Rock and two hours west of Memphis. The Citizen has won more than 100 statewide awards from the Associated Press and Arkansas Press Association in the past few years, including sweepstakes and general excellence.
