The Junction City Daily Union just might be the perfect fit for you. We are seeking a full-time creative person with news experience to design our 3-day per week print publication and numerous other special sections and web and print products. The ideal candidate for this key position in the newsroom must have excellent news judgment, copy editing abilities, be detail oriented, work well under deadline pressure and must take the initiative to create compelling and, when appropriate, nontraditional front pages and news layouts with info graphics, photos and other art. The selected candidate must have solid knowledge of InDesign (or other page design technology such as Quark), Photoshop and be a quick learner. We will work with the right, passionate candidate even if you don’t have the design experience other newspapers are seeking.
