Club Solutions Intern Program

Intern: Staff Level I

Objective:

To further educate future magazine journalists on the interworkings of the nationally circulated business trade publication, Club Solutions. Also, to empower the intern to be a productive and useful asset to the Club Solutions team, and to assist in the future growth of the publication.

Tasks:

• Update the website daily, with one club article and one supplier article.
• Work with the Club Solutions editorial staff for content, photographs and Q&A opportunities.
  • Develop content through press releases, working with the editorial staff on possible stories.
• Execute Facebook interviews twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday), and post them on the website afterwards.
• Prepare one e-newsletter a month, working with editorial staff for content and the vice president of operations for advertising insertions.
• E-mail Club Solutions’ team of bloggers and collect their blog posts weekly. Post blogs to website each Wednesday.
• Manage social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
• Assist with magazine layout design.
• Work with editorial staff to proof magazine each issue.
• Upload videos to Vimeo, YouTube and Club Solutions’ Website.
• Adjust photos for web use.

Duration: May 31^st-August 31^st, 2013

Hours: 15 hours/week.

Payment: $8/hour.

Interns with Club Solutions will gain experience in magazine design concepts, writing, editing, HTML, Wordpress, photo editing for print and web, social media campaigns, and more.
