Description: The Idaho State Journal, an 18,000 circulation daily in Southeast Idaho, is looking for a night news editor who embraces journalism's challenges and knows what it takes to make a newspaper great. This is a key newsroom position in which you will essentially be our quarterback at night—leading those who copy edit and design our pages as well as organizing our coverage of breaking stories and spot news. A strong desire to make sure we're the first with the story online is also needed, as we have other daily papers and TV stations in our market. The job's main requirements are a passion for journalism, strong work ethic and positive attitude—especially when it comes to navigating the ever-changing journalism landscape of the 21st century.
