The Daily Journal, a Gannett-owned news organization in Vineland, NJ, seeks a news reporter for its metro staff who is ready to hit the ground running. Candidates must have a strong understanding of journalism fundamentals including ethics, fairness, tenacity and news judgment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate solid reporting skills and know how to write quickly, clearly and carefully. Candidates must feel comfortable being a go-to person in an organization that publishes news daily through a newspaper, website and mobile devices. Familiarity with social media, video and photography is required. We prefer at least two years of professional experience, but applicants who have completed internships and have strong college newspaper experience will be considered.
