Description:

Navarre Press, an award winning weekly newspaper in a beautiful beachside community in Northwest Florida is looking for a copy editor to put the finishing touches on our award-winning print and digital product. If you have experience, passion and respect for the tiny details that make all the difference in excellent reporting and powerful storytelling, we would like to hear from you.  Our ideal candidate will have sound news judgment, an eye for detail, accurate AP style editing skills, exceptional editing, headline-writing and the ability to do high-quality work at a fast pace for both our newspaper and website. Familiarity with Quark, Photoshop, Facebook, and other social media is a plus, as is experience preparing copy for online use.

This position also coordinates content by assigning articles and ensuring deadlines for content are met. Ideal candidate will also write some news briefs, press releases and perform other misc. newsroom tasks.
