Description:
The Boston Globe is looking for a dynamic online features producer to provide an immersive journalism experience for the readers of BostonGlobe.com, the home for the Globe’s online coverage. The ideal candidate will have a passion for online storytelling and a dedication to the type of deep, meaningful journalism that the Globe produces.

Candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced editorial environment and have a history of crafting compelling online presentations. Applicants should also be creative, energetic, and able to quickly grasp new technologies.

Responsibilities include:

-- Managing the arts, lifestyle, travel, and magazine sections of the website

-- Selecting stories, photos, videos, and graphics to feature on BostonGlobe.com

-- Writing crisp, clean headlines and teases on tight deadlines

-- Planning and executing online coverage for major features projects

-- Building strong Web packages and presentations

-- Identifying opportunities for multimedia elements

-- Coordinating coverage with the Globe’s features, photo, design, and video departments

Skills required:

-- Superior news judgment and knowledge of the arts and lifestyle verticals

-- Strong copy editing skills

-- Familiarity with HTML and CSS

-- Experience using Photoshop to edit and resize images

-- Prior experience with a content management system (knowledge of EidosMedia Inc.’s Méthode is a plus)

-- Skill with social media and mobile devices

-- At least two to four years of experience working in an online editorial environment
