Description:

Award-winning Midwest newspaper is seeking creative, intelligent reporter who can find local feature stories, attend local government meetings, stay on top of local police and fire department activity, attend some high school sporting events and write a community-based blog. We are looking for someone willing to be embedded in a community so that they can supply quality stories to our newspaper's Web site. While most stories will be for the Web only, bigger stories and coverage of sporting events and athletes will also go into a print edition. The successful candidate must have a college degree, and demonstrated experience covering local government, news and sports.
