Description: The Florida Conference, located in Lakeland, Florida, is a regional unit of The United Methodist Church and is comprised of over 700 local churches. This progressive religious organization is seeking a Digital Media Coordinator. This position will provide website management and new media consulting services for stakeholders within the Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church. The successful candidate must champion the long term goal of delivering “best in class” Conference storytelling and must exhibit creativity and enthusiasm for using digital media to support the outreach and storytelling strategies of the church. Responsibilities include: Requirements include a BS in related field with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in online marketing or public relations preferred. Candidates should have basic graphic design abilities. Attention to detail, quality and follow through are required competencies. Technical proficiency is expected at time of hire and samples of work in digital media will be required. Candidates must be able to work independently and within a team setting and be comfortable teaching others one on one or in small groups. Familiarity with The United Methodist Church is an advantage, but not required. This position offers a pleasant working environment and a salary range of $30-38K based on education and experience.
