Description: EdSource, founded in 1977 to engage the public and policy makers on key challenges facing its public schools, is seeking an experienced and creative web manager to oversee the organization’s online operations and to develop new ways of presenting information to policy makers and the larger public. In particular, the successful applicant will help build the organization’s website EdSource Today, California’s only online journalism site devoted entirely to education issues. This position is part of a growing team of researchers and reporters developing new and innovative ways to reach multiple audiences on the challenges affecting public education in California and nationally. Qualifications • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain productive and positive communication with co-workers. Responsibilities Include: This is a full time position based in downtown Oakland. A competitive salary and related benefits will be paid commensurate with experience. About EdSource EdSource is a highly regarded 35-year-old nonprofit, non-partisan education and research organization whose mission is to inform and engage policymakers and the public on key education challenges, with the goal of improving learning outcomes for all students.
