Description: EdSource Today, California’s only online site devoted solely to education journalism, is seeking an experienced editor with a background in education issues. The successful applicant will be part of a growing and dynamic team of reporters and researchers developing new ways to reach Californians on the multiple challenges affecting public education in California and nationally. This is a part-time position based in downtown Oakland, with the possibility of it growing into a full-time position. Qualifications Duties and Responsibilities A competitive salary will be paid commensurate with experience. About EdSource EdSource Today is the journalism arm of Oakland-based EdSource, a highly regarded 35-year-old nonprofit, non-partisan education and research organization. EdSource’s mission is to inform and engage policymakers and the public on key education challenges, with the goal of improving learning outcomes for all students. The editor of EdSource Today is veteran journalist John Fensterwald. EdSource is directed by Louis Freedberg, also a veteran California journalist.
