The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram is seeking experienced, careful, creative copy editors to fill full- and part-time positions on the news desk at an award-winning newspaper that is adding staff to expand coverage. You must have sound news judgment, exceptional editing, headline-writing and page-design skills, and the ability to do high-quality work at a fast pace for both our newspaper and website. Familiarity with InDesign, Photoshop and other Web and print publishing software is a plus, as is experience preparing copy for online use. You must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays. Part-time hours will vary week to week, and part-timers may be asked to work on short notice. You will be part of Maine’s best news organization, and the Portland area is a great place to live.
