Description: The Education section atU.S. News & World Report seeks a full-time reporter based in our Washington, D.C., office who will be responsible for writing consumer-focused articles for the Education channel of usnews.com and occasional editing of other content for the section. This position does not involve breaking news coverage or reporting on education policy. This person will write multiple stories a week and may also help secure and edit blogger and freelance content to appear on usnews.com. In addition, this person will help post stories and blogs, edit photos, and produce slideshows using our internal content management system. The ideal candidate will have a background in covering higher education, with preference given to those with online experience writing on topics related to graduate MBA, law, and medical education. Also preferred are those with experience with social media networks, search engine optimization, and content management systems, and the ability to juggle myriad responsibilities in a busy environment. Requirements: Applicants must provide two writing clips and three references in addition to a résumé and cover letter.
