We're looking for a candidate who is savvy with SEO, an early adopter of social media, experienced with content management systems, and able to juggle myriad responsibilities in a busy environment. The Web producer will also be called upon occasionally to write original stories.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of related experience
• Ability to work on deadlines in a journalistic environment and manage several tasks simultaneously
• Technical proficiency in HTML, Photoshop, and Web production
• A firm grasp of current events and strong editorial judgment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated understanding of and interest in social media
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills
• Willingness to contribute as needed as a member of a small team
• Working knowledge of and interest in U.S. News's Education rankings projects
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and online analytics reporting
• College degree or equivalent
