DAY BREAKING NEWS MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST

The Corpus Christi (Texas) Caller-Times needs an energetic, enterprising breaking news reporter who is ready to hit the ground running as we barrel faster and faster into the digital age. The Caller-Times and Scripps are dedicated to making our offerings in mobile, tablet, online and print within reach of readers in whatever manner they want to consume our news. We want this reporter to help us improve our digital content and to be a great team player in working with reporters and creatively thinking how to move us forward in the future, whatever that may be. We’re looking for someone to help shape our future and bring innovative ideas to the table. Be ready to work hard and work fast. This person should expect to use all of the visual and multimedia storytelling tools available at the Caller-Times, circulation64,000 Sunday, 47,000 daily (with a combined online and print reach of 81 percent)and know that Scripps is investing in digital training for its staffs in 2013.

Applicants must have at least two years of daily newspaper experience or internships at daily newspapers combined. Spanish fluency is a plus.
