DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

POSITION DESCRIPTION: WSJ.com is looking for an editor with news experience and Web production skills to join its core team managing the site. The right candidate has experience as a journalist and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize online editorial processes. They must be able to assume some responsibility for the details of publishing to multiple platforms and think entrepreneurially about bringing readers better information and services on the Web and mobile devices. Based in New York, the job will include helping produce the Journal’s successful Web site as part of a team of editors. Early morning and weekend hours are required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates should have at least three years of post-college journalism experience, including familiarity with online publishing and Web analytics. Experience with Methode and wsj.com internal production systems is desired.
