Legislative Report Coordinator

Position Summary: Persons in this position will be responsible for daily acquisition, verification, monitoring, and update of legislation information on our website, ensuring that quality standards are met for all information posted to the site. Also responsible for customer support and training. The ability to organize multiple priorities is vital to this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Using web interface, load legislative activity, including but not limited to floor actions and committee hearings into on-line database.
• Summarize newly introduced legislation.
• Update the Legislative Report website through entry committee schedules, agendas and other scheduled event items.
• Serve as customer service representative and help desk for Legislative Report clients
• Train subscribers and develop strong relationships with Legislative Report clients and contacts.
• Assist with surveys and other interim activities.

Qualifications, Requirements and Work Demands:

• BS/BA in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration or related field.
• Advanced skills in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel required.
• Extensive experience using the internet for research purposes.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
• Minimum typing speed:  50 cwpm
• Experience with standard office machines and technology.
• Ability to work on a personal computer for extended periods of time.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during the legislative session.
• Must be able to work with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
• A high level of concentration is required for extended periods of time.
• Ability to remain poised and professional under pressure
