Description:

The Junction City Daily Union — an award winning newspaper for its design — is seeking a full-time talented and creative page designer for its 3-day per week print publication and numerous other special sections and web and print products. The ideal candidate for this key position in the newsroom must have excellent news judgment, copy editing abilities, be detail oriented, work well under deadline pressure and must take the initiative to create compelling and, when appropriate, nontraditional front pages and news layouts with info graphics, photos and other art. The selected candidate must have excellent knowledge of InDesign (or other page design technology such as Quark), Photoshop, Illustrator and be a quick learner when it comes to editorial content management systems.
