The Daily Citizen, an award-winning 5,600 circulation newspaper in Searcy, Ark., is seeking a news clerk to assist in the daily production of our product. The successful candidate must be a team player who is responsible for maintaining and processing contributed content, calendars and databases. Customer service and organizational skills are required. Skills in Photoshop, inDesign, photography and news reporting are a plus. The successful candidate will work closely with the editor and other reporters, and will coordinate with our off-site design pod. Searcy is a growing community of nearly 25,000 people, 45 minutes north of Little Rock and two hours west of Memphis. In the past two years, The Citizen has won more than 100 statewide awards from the Associated Press and Arkansas Press Association, including sweepstakes and general excellence.
