Description:

Call Publishing is seeking an experienced full-time reporter to handle government news beats and occasional feature stories for our four community-focused weekly newspapers. We want candidates with reporting, editing, design and social media skills who are able to thrive in a deadline environment.
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in journalism and will be able to generate story ideas, conduct professional interviews and write accurate, in-depth stories that inform the community. At least one or two years’ reporting experience at a daily or weekly newspaper is preferred, though recent college graduates may apply.
Responsibilities also will include posting stories to websites and social media sites, shooting photos with a digital camera and designing pages.
A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite also is required, along with a thorough understanding of AP news style.
