Description: The World-Herald is hiring two suburban reporters to join its metro-suburban team. A rich mix of daily and pageone enterprise stories out of Sarpy County and other areas is expected. One of the beats also includes metro-area transportation. The other includes Sarpy County courts and public safety stories. Recent graduates with strong internship experiences, along with reporters with one to three years of daily newspaper experience, are encouraged to apply. Sarpy County is a fast-growing county just south of Omaha that has five cities, including the state’s third largest, and is served by all or part of six school districts, two hospitals and Bellevue University. The county is home to Offutt Air Force Base, a major metro employer, as well as defense contractors and such employers as PayPal, InfoUSA and Werner Enterprises.
