Company: San Antonio Express-News
Seeking hard-working summer 2013 interns
Job Status:  Not Specified
Ad Expires:
February 6, 2013
Job ID: 1448187

The San Antonio Express-News is looking for smart, energetic journalism students to intern in our main office in San Antonio and our Austin bureau during summer 2013. We're looking for interns who have a desire to get their stories on the front page, a willingness to work hard and want to learn from some of the best journalists in the state.

This is not the kind of internship where students shadow seasoned reporters and make coffee runs. The Express-News' for-credit internship program is the kind of experience where students roll up their sleeves in two of Texas’ most vibrant cities and contribute to the newspaper's report while learning their craft in a nurturing environment. Interns are needed in metro, features, sports, business, copy desk, photo and online. Internships are offered to students preparing to graduate. We do not offer post-graduate internships. Spanish-speaking is a plus.

To apply, prepare a packet that includes a cover letter, resume and up to 10 of your best clips. E-mail is preferred, but if you choose regular mail, make sure everything is on 8.5x11 sheets of paper. No staples, please. If selected, you will need to get a letter from one of your professors saying you will be eligible to receive academic credit for working on our for-credit internship.

E-mail or mail your packet to:
