Overview:

 

CBT News.com (Car Biz Today) seeks an experienced Reporter who thrives on breaking news, enterprising stories and working under tight deadlines.  The successful candidate will report, write and deliver industry news and information.  Degree in Broadcast journalism or related field preferred and at least 3 years on air reporting experience in a fast paced newsroom/studio.  This candidate will write stories for newscast and reports as assigned.   

 

Responsibilities:

Writes and reports on industry news and information for our webcast and website.  Represents CBT News.com to the entire retail automotive industry.  Reports stories on regular scheduled newscasts and other programs produced by CBT News.com.  Writes and/or proofreads stories on assigned broadcast.  Acts as general assignment reporter.  Consistently contributes story ides for newscasts.  Develops and maintains productive relationship with industry contacts and sources.  Works with producers, reporters and editor on assigned news broadcast.   Develops industry contacts.  Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

 

College degree in broadcast journalism or a related area of study preferred.  At least 3 years experience anchoring and reporting scheduled news broadcasts.  Must be able to accept constructive feedback and criticism designed to enhance individual’s performance.  Ability to perform duties and make decisions under deadline pressure.  Must have clear understand of web and social media outlets.
