The Athlete Interactive (www.athleteinteractive.com) Social Media Internship Program is designed to give college journalism students an opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience. Each intern works directly with Athlete Interactive editors to help research content for the web sites and social media properties of one or more company clients.

We are currently looking to employ two interns for Summer 2013 (late June through September).

Intern Responsibilities

Interns are expected to work an average of five to eight hours a week, researching and creating content for social media platforms at regular, pre-determined intervals in a reliable fashion. Interns must have Internet access and a computer, and should be familiar with using the Internet, social media sites, word processing programs, and so forth. Intern responsibilities can include:

Creating short-form content (images/quotes/stories) for athletes' social media properties
Researching social media platforms for relevant sources of content
Additional assistance to Athlete Interactive editors

Intern Requirements

Internship candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of sports, be enthusiastic and dependable, and have thorough research skills.
