Description:

BDNMaine, the largest innovative digital news company in Maine, is seeking a copy editor to join our Universal Desk, which is responsible for preparing and presenting news and information on digital platforms and in Bangor Daily News print products. Successful candidates will possess good news sense and know how to edit copy, write headlines and design print and digital pages, meeting deadlines and managing time efficiently. A command of the English language and knowledge of AP style and what constitutes libel are required as is a respect for a writer's voice and a story's tone. Proficiency in InDesign is desirable as is a working knowledge of social media, Acrobat, Photoshop and other graphic and web-related software.
