Chicago Parent Media is hiring a digital content manager to work on our range of digital products including, tablet and mobile versions, e-mail newsletters and social media. This person will work closely with our editors, developers, designers, sales and marketing staff on every aspect of our digital efforts.

This is a great opportunity for a person who wants to be very involved in and have key responsibility for all aspects of growing the digital efforts of Chicago Parent. Our ideal candidate has post-college digital media experience, is self-motivated and thrives working on deadlines and multiple projects. We are looking for a person who has worked on a content driven website and will help us continue to grow our traffic. Must know InDesign, Photoshop, video editing, Google Analytics and SEO. Our hire will be enthusiastic about technology, content and marketing.

The person who succeeds in this job will understand the power of the parenting niche: There's nothing that changes your life like being a parent. And they'll understand the ways that Chicago moms are using digital to connect in their daily lives.

Chicago Parent is part of Wednesday Journal, Inc. We're one of those rare small, independent publishing companies you've heard about. We launched in 1980 and the two principal owners come to work every day in our offices in Oak Park. (Our offices are just a half-block off the Green Line.)

In addition to Chicago Parent, we also publish community news in four Chicago area neighborhoods both in print and digitally. Chicago Parent has siblings, too, including Going Places and Chicago Special Parent.

To apply for this job, send a cover letter, your resume and samples of your work to Dan Haley, publisher of Chicago Parent at
