The Idaho Statesman college basketball reporter/writer must be a local, regional and national Division I expert. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of elevating a priority beat to a high level of community relevance, and must be highly competent in growing the audience through story-telling, curation of content and online/digital/social media skills.Strong reporting, a sense of urgency and compelling, alternative presentation ideas are a must. Some travel required. The deadline to apply is July 20. Send short cover letter, resume and clips to Sports Editor Mike Prater at mprater@idahostatesman.com.
