Description: The University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication seeks an Assistant Professor of Journalism with a strong focus on multimedia journalism and digital media. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in multimedia journalism and digital media and may contribute to our doctoral program in Media Studies. The ideal candidate for this tenure-related position will hold the Ph.D. (ABD and master’s degrees considered); have significant professional journalism experience; knowledge and experience with new forms of digital reporting and production, including areas such as data mining and visualization, web design and mapping; a history of collaboration with industry partners; a strong program of scholarly research or creative activity commensurate with UO tenure and promotion expectations; and a commitment to the future of journalism.
