Description:

KCRW seeks a talented producer for its nationally syndicated news and current affairs program "To the Point" as well as its local public affairs program, "Which Way, L.A.?" The producer assists in all aspects of preparation and production, including background research, generation of show ideas, interviewing potential guests, editing audio, and preparing material for the host, Warren Olney.

Responsibilities also include helping to maintain the show's Web page and social networking presence. Experience in daily deadline journalism, strong news judgment, and ability to work quickly and calmly under deadline are required. We're looking for someone both organized and creative, who wants to immerse him or herself in current events, spend the day talking and thinking about the news, and work in tight collaboration with others to get strong interviews on the air.

Interest and knowledge of national and international affairs is essential, and familiarity with political and social issues in Southern California is especially desirable.
