Description:

The American Chemistry Council (ACC), a national trade association representing the world’s leading chemical and plastics manufacturers, currently has an opportunity for a Coordinator, Member Communications for its Communications division.  ACC represents its members on public policy issues; coordinates the industry’s research and testing programs; and administers Responsible Care®, the industry’s environment, health, safety and security performance improvement initiative.

 The position is responsible for supporting the Member Communications and Marketing work unit, including, coordinating workflow with vendors, preparing member presentations, conducting research, maintaining database files, responding to member and staff inquiries, providing editorial assistance, and preparation of documents, both print and digital. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Member Communications and Marketing. 

Other key duties and responsibilities of the position include identifying, creating and/or managing content for member relations on-line destination and public web site to enhance value proposition by providing accurate, timely and relevant information; assisting with the creation of Board of Director and member presentations; creating fact sheet, email, Power Point presentations and other miscellaneous templates for ease of use by other ACC departments and member companies; assisting with electronic communications, newsletters layout and copy, and member communications initiatives; and supporting development of ACC’s annual report and other member collateral materials.

 Required qualifications include Bachelor’s degree or a minimum two years related work experience; in-depth knowledge of general office protocols, practices and procedures; proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, and internet research skills; strong written and oral communications skills, including grammar, spelling and punctuation; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, and prioritize issues, projects, tasks and information; and experience with document tracking, filing, and record keeping.
