Description: Voice of Russia English-language service (http://english.ruvr.ru/) is seeking an Assignment Reporter for its Washington DC Bureau. Candidates must have exceptional storytelling skills and previous experience covering national and international news, trends and social issues. The successful applicant must have a strong journalism background with focus on reporting, writing, research and communication. Qualifications: -Proven newsgathering skills and on-air radio/television of at least 4 years -Exceptional writing/producing skills, ability to multi-task and achieve deadlines under pressure -Experience in producing segments, editing/assembling packages, field producing, and booking guests for live radio programs -Must have excellent news judgment, and strong organizational and communications skills About Us: Radio Voice of Russia was the first radio station to broadcast internationally, on the air since October 29th 1929. In the US, the Radio Voice of Russia English-language service is available to audiences in New York City and Washington, DC on AM frequencies.
