Description:

The Delta Democrat Times seeks an experienced Accent Editor/designer with awesome layout and reporting/writing skills, a jack of all trades.

The Accent Editor will be responsible for layout out on a daily basis. The position will require weekly editing and layout of the Sunday Accent section, as well as the news section on a rotating basis. The DDT, published Monday through Friday afternoons and Sunday morning, also produces special editions and a quarterly magazine,  Delta Focus, all of which the accent editor will contribute. Required to work at least two weekends per month. The DDT has a long and rich history covering Greenville and Washington County. It is part of the Emmerich Newspapers, a family-owned operation which has more than 20 papers mostly throughout Mississippi. We offer a comprehensive employment package that includes Medical, Dental, a 401-K with company match, and two weeks of paid vacation. Salary range is around 30k per year depending on experience.
