Description:

The Bulletin, a 34,000 circulation daily in Central Oregon, is seeking an experienced reporter to cover the local education beat that includes the region’s largest public school district, a community college and a branch of Oregon State University.

The ideal candidate will be aggressive, highly analytical and adept at cultivating sources, talking with students and parents, working with education officials and crunching budget numbers and test data.

The Bulletin is an independent, family-owned newspaper in Bend, a vibrant city, population 80,000, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and stellar outdoor recreation. All hiring is contingent on passing a drug test.
