Description:

The (Columbus, Indiana) Republic, an award-winning daily newspaper, has an opening for an experienced reporter. Candidates must be able to cover many topics, including news, education, business and government.

Candidate must be versatile, be able to analyze and write well, cover beats, work well under deadline and take complicated issues and make the reader understand them. Must do daily stories and enterprise pieces.

We are looking for a strong writer who can write with context and clarity and has a passion for news and a sense of urgency.  Must have initiative, energy, a good work ethic, excellent interviewing skills and be a storyteller. This is a great place to do quality local journalism and cover growing communities.
