Openings in Newspapers/Wires

Successful candidate must possess strong writing, grammar, spelling and editing skills, as well as excellent communication skills. We’re looking for a team player that has exceptional leadership skills and abilities, strong Mac computer experience, superb pagination (InDesign) and design skills and abilities, very strong photography and Photoshop skills, a superior work ethic and a great attitude. Must have excellent time management and organizational skills and abilities. Must be serious and have a strong desire to write, package and publish a quality, community-oriented newspaper (3,000 circulation) every Tuesday and Friday in a competitive small-town market.

This is a leadership position, both within the newspaper operation and the community. Additional responsibilities include oversight of editorial staffs at two smaller weeklies in our newspaper group in southwest Wyoming. Advancement and management opportunities within a topflight newspaper organization are very realistic for employees with a proven track record.

Pay level range for this position is around $35,000 to $40,000 depending upon experience. Solid benefit package includes weekly pay, medical insurance, discount prescription benefit, life insurance, 401(k) plan, flex-spending account, paid vacations and mileage reimbursement.
