MARKETING CONTENT MANAGER

The Marketing Content Manager will have high-visibility with immediate and profound impact to our nonprofit organization.  You will be specializing in direct response copy-writing, development of internal and external communications, and marketing and donor collateral. We are a growing Christian non-profit organization and have an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves and contribute.

DESCRIPTION

This is a creative, results-oriented position for a driven, hands-on marketing communications professional to help develop imaginative, original and compelling content that engages and inspires donors. This includes copywriting for Palmer Home for Children online channels, social media and donor collateral; conceptualizing and managing the development of eye-catching visual content (photography, video, graphic design, illustration, animation); establishing and tracking ROI for marketing communications initiatives; managing Palmer Home for Children’s advertising and public relations efforts with a focus on measurable results; and, executing effective programs that drive awareness, donations and build Palmer Home for Children’s brand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write copy for Palmer Home for Children marketing materials including ads, web pages, social media posts, newsletters, press releases, email campaigns, video scripts and other writing projects as assigned.
  • Oversee collateral development, including design, layout, and printing; ensure projects are on track, on time and on budget.
  • Providing creative and strategic insight for donor-driven content marketing programs which are calibrated and optimized for demographic segments, regions and international targets.
  • Ensure marketing materials are on brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels including online, social media, email, mobile and video.
  • Develop, track and report on ROI metrics, including online analytics, for key marketing communications programs, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee video and photo shoots, including logistics, script writing and shot list preparation.
  • Create ad media schedule, review journal editorial content, monitor insertions to ensure ads are delivered on time.
  • Develop PR plan and conduct media outreach.
  • Work with marketing director to refine and drive the Palmer Home for Children brand internally and externally.
  • Challenge the “status quo" and deliver donor experiences that are unexpected, memorable, impactful and effective.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing communication, public relations or journalism discipline with strong academic performance
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing communications experience
  • 2 - 3+ years of experience in a top tier newspaper, media agency/marketing firm or public relations firm a plus
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Background in creating and executing multimedia content strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, or InDesign, a plus
