Openings in Newspapers/Wires

Halston Media, the publisher of three hyper-local newspapers in Northern Westchester and Southern Putnam Counties in New York, seeks an Entry Level Reporter to cover all aspects of local news in one of our Northern Westchester towns. As a full-time beat reporter, all candidates must have experience covering local politics, school news, police and municipal news. Attendance at weekend events and evening municipal meetings—including Town council and board of education meetings—is required. 

As the town's only local newspaper that is delivered to almost all residents and businesses in town, we are heavily involved in community events such as parades, Scouting events, charities and more. Ability to take photographs is a must.
