McKnight's Long-Term Care News
||March 18, 2015
Our industry-leading news magazine for long-term care professionals seeks an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn editorial intern. The ideal candidate will have strong news writing skills, precise editing abilities and familiarity with digital publishing.
The intern will write short news stories, longer feature pieces and be an active part of our content management team for our website. The ideal candidate will be able to research and analyze business-to-business news in the long-term care field. Multimedia experience, including shooting and editing video, is ideal. While it is not expected that the intern would have in-depth knowledge of long-term care or healthcare, he/she should be both interested in these topics and able to quickly come up to speed. The intern will report to the senior editor.
This is a paid internship ($10 per hour), with the intern working four days a week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The intern must have completed at least two years of college or university, and be able to write clean, concise copy. He or she should be able to take direction, pride him or herself on accuracy, and be able to meet deadlines. We value friendliness, intelligence, respect and a good sense of humor.
McKnight’s Long-Term Care News is located at 900 Skokie Boulevard, Northbrook, IL, where the intern will be expected to report.
Email a resume, two writing clips and three references to Senior Editor Elizabeth Newman at Elizabeth.firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline to apply for this internship is Friday, April 3. Selected candidates will be invited to interview in mid-April.
