The Press Enterprise in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time, general-assignment reporter who wants to tell stories of small-town America.

We’re a 16,500-circulation daily paper dedicated to local news and owned by the same family since our founding in 1902. We cover Columbia and Montour counties, which include the towns of Bloomsburg, Berwick and Danville. We value detailed reporting and straightforward, no-frills news writing. Experience taking photos and using social media to expand your newsgathering reach would also come in handy.

If you're a veteran of the field, you'll be coming to a paper that will let you use your experience to dig into town budget disputes, get to the bottom of drug busts and tell readers about their interesting neighbors. If you're a new graduate, we'll give you a chance to learn the basics of the job.

We offer health insurance and a 401(k) as part of our benefits package. As a bonus, life here can be pretty great, especially if you enjoy the outdoors: biking, kayaking, camping. And we're only about two hours from Philly and New York.

Interested? Email a resume and at least three published samples of your writing to peter.kendron@pressenterprise.net.
