The Department of Communication, Journalism, and Public Relations at Park University invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Journalism. The successful candidate will teach Multimedia Journalism, Public Relations, and related courses in the undergraduate program and may have the opportunity to teach special topics courses in the Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership. We expect candidates to demonstrate the ability to teach face-to-face, blended, and online courses.  Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester, engaging in scholarship, and participating in service activities and program advising.


The position will begin in August, 2018, and the search will continue until the position is filled.

 A Ph.D. in Journalism is required, evidence of excellence in teaching, and scholarship in the discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach a wide variety of classes in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
