The Burlington County (N.J.) Times in suburban Philadelphia seeks a leader to run daily news coverage in a digital-first world. The newsroom’s lead content editor (it's the city editor in many newsrooms) must be able and willing to tell stories in print and digital formats, including video storytelling. Social media acumen also will be expected. Good critical-thinking and people skills are a must. We run a digital media operation that happens to put out a print product. Local news is what matters to our readers.

The news director will be based out of our Willingboro office and be able to work with news directors from sister papers at the Bucks County (Pa.) Courier-Times in Levittown, and The Intelligencer in Doylestown, Pa. Five years’-plus daily newspaper experience is preferred. The BCT has won six consecutive General Excellence Awards in the New Jersey Press Association journalism contest.
