Tennis Channel is seeking a recruiting professional to temporarily support the Human Resources Manager. This assignment is expected to last 2-4 months.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partners with HR Manager and hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and prepares/delivers employment offers.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, noncompete agreements).
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  • Posts job openings and manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS), SilkRoad.
  • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.
  • Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing.
  • Completes weekly report on employment activity.
  • Facilitates orientation of new employees.


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 2 years as an in-house or agency staffing professional
  • Experience supporting multiple recruiting efforts at the same time and working directly with management during the hiring process for a studio, cable network, or in-house entertainment environment is required
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with ATS; SilkRoad experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively and positively interface with personnel at all levels both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to self-manage changing priorities and deadlines
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills when speaking to employees and candidates
  • Demonstrated prioritization and organizational skills as well as attention to detail with the ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
