Description:

Be a Catalyst to #Disrupt Journalism Education

Attention faculty, administrators, adjuncts, lecturers, at the college, grad school or community college level:

Do you see a problem within journalism education that you’d like to solve? Are you game to collaborate with other catalysts to understand and bring significant, needed change to your program or classroom that may revolutionize a problematic area of J Ed?

This year, the City University of New York’s Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism will provide as many as 10 fellowships to educators who will refine a concrete proposal on much-needed change, presenting the fully developed plan at the ONA18 conference in Austin, Texas, Sept. 13-15.

Click this link and read the full explanation about PROPOSALS and REQUIREMENTS for this year's program before completing your application.

We seek individuals determined to pursue solutions in one of three areas:

• institutional friction points
• evolving curriculum
• advancing communities
• And if your revolutionary idea doesn’t fit, enter it in the wildcard category

The deadline for applications is Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. PT. Fellowships will be announced on a rolling basis through March. Those selected will work from their homes or campuses to engage the Disruptive Journalism Educators Network on Facebook.
