Sinclair Broadcast Group seeks an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Chief Creative and Content Officer. We are looking for someone who can thrive on developing strategies and brand opportunities for a national news website. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of online audience engagement, with a targeted content approach.

You should have a passion for innovative storytelling, content distribution and promotion. Social sharing and mobile content delivery should be a key focus and strongly reflected in your prior experience.You must be comfortable overseeing initiatives from concept through to delivery with a an understanding of changing audience habits and emerging media technologies. Managing multiple tasks and workflows should come naturally to you, as the job will require overseeing a national news operation and coordinating several projects at any time.

Duties:

  • Develop content strategy and brand for a national website
  • Develop short and long term creative goals and strategies
  • Hire excellent storytellers and be proactive in recruiting for open and future positions
  • Inspire, motivate staff to achieve goals
  • Develop ideas and general concepts into actions
  • Define day-to-day expectations of website staff
  • Define audience metrics to be tracked at national level
  • Collaborate with corporate digital product team on continuing design upgrades and projects
  • Continuously monitor performance to identify opportunities for increased audience growth
  • Ensure content produced is compelling and engaging
  • Deliver sharable daily content for integration in a variety of distribution channels
  • Develop and manage a department budget
