The Pawhuska Journal-Capital has been serving Osage County since 1904. We seek an editor/multimedia reporter who can do it all by covering news, features and sports for all news platforms — print, digital and social media.

The Pawhuska Journal-Capital is a weekly newspaper, but its website and social media outlets are updated daily.

The Pawhuska Journal-Capital Editor-Multimedia Journalist also will provide stories to its sister publication — the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise.

This is a rare opportunity to work in a rapidly changing community that is home to the Osage Nation, the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve and Pioneer Women, Ree Drummond, of Food Network fame. Pawhuska is a small, tight-knit community, and a popular and dynamic tourist destination.

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in producing high-quality, competitive community journalism, be self-motivated, have a strong understanding of AP style and the ability to complete tasks on a strict deadline. Prior multimedia reporting experience would be a plus.

As a part of GateHouse Media, the Pawhuska Journal-Capital offers competitive compensation and a full-benefits package. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Interested candidates should apply online to Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise Editor Chris Day at cday@examiner-enterprise.com. Include a cover letter describing why you are the ideal candidate for the position, a resume and samples of your work.

When applying, mention you saw this opening listed at JournalismJobs.com.
