Treasure Coast Newspapers/ seeks a proven investigative journalist who isn't afraid to get her or his hands dirty by digging deep into records, searching for smoking guns and asking tough questions. Accomplished in multimedia, this reporter will produce unique content for all digital and print platforms as well as social media. The successful candidate will be a true watchdog, going beyond news releases and public meetings to break news, shed light on wrongdoing and reveal the truth. This reporter focuses on our local communities, but also capitalizes on opportunities, sometimes collaborative, to expand a story to the state and national level for use by the entire USA TODAY Network. The result is coverage that's impactful and precipitates change. It's essential to balance quick-hit investigative stories with bigger, long-term projects that resonate with our digital audiences. Engagement, source-building, database and other digital-focused skills are a must. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of reporting, with investigative or enterprise experience, at a daily newspaper or equivalent media.
